A year in the wild.... - Wild St Albert

Harvest

The final harvesting process for canola involves scooping the previously scythed crop, removing the oil seeds, and grinding up the stalks for soil replenishment. At first look this scene is of the combine working in the evening overlooked by a close to full moon. But look a little closer and you will see; some tall buildings in downtown Edmonton, the St Albert sour gas processing plant, the West Edmonton landfill and concrete plant, and also in the lower right corner, a Coyote hunting rodents exposed by the recent grain harvest on the adjacent field.
