    Repulsion

The day prior I took the same photo (about 2.8 km away) and saw that a pair of Canada Geese had invaded the eagles nest,. Today I was glad to find that the eagles have retaken their property! (Update; unfortunately we saw no juveniles this year so it seems this pair were not successful).

The previous evening the river was clear. I was there for a sunset shoot. I noticed the pack ice from the lake being drawn into the river by the strong current and by mid morning the ice has half covered the river (ignoring the flood plain part).
