The wetland seems to be providing lots of prey for the Black Terns to take back to their mates sitting on the nests.
After circling me in the air this Wilson's Phalarope landed and led me off down the trail, I presume away from its nesting site.
Black Terns engaging in what I took to be mating behaviour, it's getting late in the season for this I think.
