Hidden in plain view

After spending some time with this little guy following me around in the bush I walked off but after a couple of minutes it caught up with me by flying in to my new location and then proceeded to parade around some more, this was when I took this shot. After more following I finally got away from it (or so I thought) but a few minutes later it gave more one more fly by before we went our separate ways. Sturgeon County

My friend the Ruffed Grouse tracked me through the bush (first one way then the other) then presented me with this unobstructed shot after I thought "please jump onto that log"! I'll need to think of a name? Sturgeon County

Ruffed Grouse in a classic pose, it didn't seem to know what I was nor the threat I represented, I left it pecking around the underbrush where I found it. Sturgeon County.
