One of a group of three moose that moved past the back of our property one evening in Sturgeon County, my impression was that this one was checking out how the following moose was faring. They were moving very slowly and did not hang around the area as it is browsed out. It has been a harsh winter and one can only hope they will survive until the fresh spring growth appears to give sustenance, at least six weeks away.
A small group of white-tailed deer seem to have taken up residence in our neighbourhood, perhaps some babies on the way?
