A Juvenile Bald Eagle launches from its perch overlooking Big Lake.
This Sharp-shinned (or juvenile Cooper's ?) Hawk sat in a tree for a few moments before deciding that it had had enough of my presence. Sturgeon County.
After a couple of hours of wandering the bush, and not seeing much of anything, I decided to retrace a side path I had taken earlier, and up popped this guy, I think a juvenile Coopers Hawk. Persistence pays off! Sturgeon County. (The colouration of the wings is strange, I think it is glare off the harsh sunlight caused by moisture from the bush it flew out of)
