Alone in the forest
A cool snowy day, this squirrel has found a tree fungus to munch on and a perch with a sense of space in the woods of Lois Hole Park.
Hare
Deep in the undergrowth at dusk, there is some weird colour in the photo due to the low light and shooting through vegetation so I did a B&W conversion, some minor retouching done also. Note the engorged ticks on the ears. Sturgeon County.

Bad hair day
This squirrel is doesn't seem too concerned about the early on set of winter while it's still technically summer, plenty to eat. Sturgeon County.

On the move
This snowshoe hare moved slow enough through the underbrush for me to get some close up photos
Snowshoe Hare
Usually quick to scurry into the underbrush this Snowshoe Hare decided to take a closer look at what was blundering through the bush, so after many years of trying I finally got a half decent shot.

Curious Squirrel
A young squirrel's curiosity overcomes any fear it may have had to give the photographer a really good look.
