    Another stormy evening looming over Edmonton, and the canola fields in full bloom in Sturgeon County, suggest correctly that this is the second week of July. The two new towers downtown breach the horizon and forever change the landscape, at least in my lifetime. Neutral Grad filters and some colour specific contrast applied in Nik Color Efex Pro 2

    The swallows have been an impressive sight over the last week swirling around in an eating frenzy over the J Poole wetland, with a brief group respite in a nearby tree or on the boardwalk handrails as seen here.

    Several hundred Franklin gulls were on Big Lake today (Aug 31), the day after there was nothing....all gone south?
